River Plate have made an enquiry for ex-Flamengo midfielder Carlos Alcaraz, who is currently at Everton. According to Coluna Do Fla, the Argentine club are exploring a possible transfer after surveying options in South America and Europe. They are interested in a permanent deal, although no official offer has been lodged. River Plate asked Everton about Alcaraz's availability. The Premier League club have not replied, so talks are on hold. Flamengo agreed Alcaraz's sale in the 2025 season, negotiating with Everton for 15 million euros, R$ 96 million at the time. River Plate are also pursuing midfield alternatives, including Thiago Almada of Atlético de Madrid, a player Flamengo are targeting as well.
