River Plate are exploring the possibility of signing goalkeeper Agustín Rossi, who currently plays for Flamengo. According to ESPN, the Argentine club is evaluating the sale of Santiago Beltrán and has begun to search for a replacement. Rossi is Flamengo's first-choice goalkeeper and has a contract until December 2027. Since his arrival at the Brazilian club, he has played 173 matches and kept 81 clean sheets. His honours include three Cariocas, one Brasileiro, one Copa do Brasil, one Libertadores and one Supercopa do Brasil. The second transfer window of 2026 will open on July 20 and close on September 11, leaving Flamengo with approximately two months to reorganize their squad for the rest of the season.
