After three years at River Plate, striker Facundo Colidio shared an emotional farewell message on social media. In less than 45 minutes, the post had already surpassed 36,000 likes.
Colidio reminisced about his arrival to the club with conviction and much enthusiasm, feeling like a part of the team from day one. Despite experiencing both good and bad moments, he always strived to give his best every time he had to defend River Plate's jersey.

The ex-Tigre accompanied his message with a video that showcased some of his most memorable moments at River Plate. These included the Trofeo de Campeones 2023 and Supercopa Argentina 2023, as well as several of his celebratory moments.

As a parting gesture, Colidio left the door open for potential future returns to the club. 'Until we meet again, River,' he wrote in his farewell message.
Why Can't Colidio Play in the Copa Sudamericana?
Although the transfer was finalized last week, delays in signing documents meant that Facundo Colidio cannot participate in the 2026 Copa Sudamericana's eighth round. He is not included on Vasco Da Gama's list of players for the series against Olimpia de Paraguay.
According to Brazilian media reports, the Argentine Football Association did not send the necessary documents in time and thus Colidio cannot be listed as a substitute player. Santiago Sosa, ex-Racing, is also in the same situation.
The Transfer Details of Colidio to Vasco
River Plate and Vasco Da Gama agreed on transferring 50% of Colidio's economic rights for $4.5 million. The other half would be sold for a minimum of $5.5 million if certain objectives are met: if the player plays more than 40 matches during his contract or if the Brazilian club sells him within the next 18 months.
