The 20-year-old Argentine player, Cristian Leonel Jaime, has exceeded expectations in Peñarol, scoring a goal in the 2-1 victory over Central Español in the Campeón Del Siglo at the second date of the Clausura Tournament. The agreement had an immediate repurchase clause in December if the player did not reach 360 minutes played, but the figure was already exceeded and the Carbonero celebrate that Jaime will stay there, at least until June 2027. Peñarol's coach, Diego Aguirre, on the young Argentine player: "He's great, it's a pleasure to have a player like that. He's brave, unselfish to play and transmits good energy with everything he does and is a decisive player."
