Fan brawl erupts at El Campín
Independiente Santa Fe's barra clashed violently with América de Cali fans at El Campín stadium, minutes before the sixth round match of Colombia's Finalización tournament. At the 33' mark of the first half, a group of local supporters bypassed security controls and entered the pitch to confront the rival's fans, who had previously clashed with police in the stands.
The classic ended in a draw
Despite the chaos, the match resumed and ended in a 0-0 draw. Independiente Santa Fe, who dominated much of the game, failed to convert clear chances, including two headers and a late goalmouth shot. Bogotá Police used batons, shields, and pepper spray to disperse the fans on the pitch.
Videos of the incidents
Videos of the brawl circulate on social media, showing how the advertising banners were torn and how the fans clashed on the pitch. The incidents occurred days before Independiente Santa Fe traveled to the Monumental to face River in the Copa Sudamericana knockout stages.
