Club Atlético River Plate and Adidas have launched the eighth edition of the Fundación River Plate/Adidas Award, which aims to support and strengthen the work of community clubs and social organizations across the country. The call for entries will remain open from June 10 to July 3, and clubs, associations, and civil organizations that develop social impact projects in their communities can participate. In this edition, the winning institution will receive a prize of $30 million to build or improve its facilities. Additionally, the projects that finish in second and third place will receive bags of balls and sports equipment. Since its creation, the contest has received over 4,200 entries and has allowed the implementation of works that have benefited thousands of young people in different parts of Argentina. Once the entry stage is completed, a jury composed of sports, journalism, and social sector representatives will select the three finalist projects. Subsequently, the winner will be determined through an open public vote. Among the members of the jury of this edition are Javier Saviola, Gabriela Sabatini, Gonzalo Bonadeo, Agostina Scalise, and representatives of adidas, among other personalities linked to sports and social work. With this initiative, Fundación River Plate and Adidas continue to promote and support the growth of institutions that play a fundamental role in their communities, promoting inclusion and development through sports.
